OUTLINE OF SERVICE 

Blaenau Gwent Carers Project is based in Abertillery, serving the whole County of Blaenau Gwent, offering confidential advice and information to carers aged 18 or more. Amongst other things, advice may be given on benefits, Care Assessments and respite options. The Project produces produces a twice-yearly Newsletter. Special events for carers are organised throughout the year, such as day trips, tea dances and information days. The Team Leader makes domiciliary visits to carers requiring a home visit.

The Service is delivered by a Part Time Team Leader, with a Part Time Support Worker.

Days and Times

The Service operates Monday to Thursday  from 9.00 until 1.00 pm

The office is open Monday to Thursday  from 9.00 until 1.00 pm

An answerphone operates at all other times.

Charges The Service is provided free of charge.

Accessibility to disabled:  Situated on top floor, the office is accessible via 3 flights of stairs.
