"Welsh Water Assist" Print E-mail

You may be interested to learn of a reduced tariff available to customers of Welsh Water known as "Welsh Water Assist". 

It is aimed at: 

1. Low income families and 

2. Individuals with *relevant medical conditions, and offers a lower water charge. 

To qualify, the supply must be household only (not business use) and the bill-payer or a member of the household must be in receipt of a qualifying benefit (Pension Credit, Income Support, Council Tax/Housing Benefit) or tax credit. AND, there must either be 3 or more children in the household, OR: Someone in the household has a medical condition that requires a significant use of additional water. 

The *medical conditions which would qualify are: 

Desquamation (flaky skin disease)

Weeping skin diseases (Eczema, psoriasis, varicose ulceration)

Incontinence

Abdominal stoma

Crohn's disease

Ulcerative colitis

Renal failure requiring home dialysis

Or another medical condition which requires significant amounts of water. 

The application form is included within an explanatory leaflet you get from Welsh Water. NB, a GP or Medial practitioner is needed to sign/stamp the application/confirm the medical condition.
